Pomona Valley Pride - Commons Area Transgender Day of Remembrance
| Topic/Theme: Transgender Day of Remembrance Description: This program will honor the lives of transgender and gender-diverse individuals lost to anti-trans violence, creating a space for collective mourning, reflection, and resilience. Together, we will hold space to remember, while also channeling our grief into action by discussing advocacy strategies that address the systemic roots of transphobia and violence. Participants will engage in dialogue about strengthening protections for TGI communities, building solidarity, and envisioning a future rooted in safety, dignity, and justice. |
Program Description: This group is dedicated to empowering TGI individuals to navigate the political system, aligning with the center’s commitment to education and advocacy. By equipping TGI individuals with the tools to advocate for their rights and needs, we actively advance the center’s broader advocacy goals. Our programming, events, and initiatives at PVP are designed to be intentionally inclusive and representative of the TGI community, highlighting their voices, experiences, and issues. Through this supportive network, we not only address the unique emotional needs of TGI individuals but also foster a space for genuine connection and empowerment.
