Job Title: Youth Marketing Specialist Department: Marketing & Public Relations, Supporting the Youth Services Department

Job Type: Full-time (Grant Funded Y2-CFCI-LA), Benefits Eligible, Hourly Range $18.00 – $23.00

The Youth Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in developing and executing marketing strategies
aimed at engaging youth audiences. This role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for
understanding youth culture and trends, excellent communication skills, and a strong grasp of social
media platforms. The specialist will focus on outreach initiatives, content creation, and community
engagement to build brand loyalty and drive growth among younger demographics. While the role
reports to the Marketing & Public Relation team, they are specifically assigned to support the Youth
Services Department in all outreach and social media efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research & Trend Analysis:
    o Conduct research to identify youth trends, preferences, and behaviors.
    o Analyze market data to inform marketing strategies and outreach efforts.
    o Monitor competitor activities and industry developments.
  2. Strategy Development:
    o Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans targeting youth demographics.
    o Collaborate with the marketing team to create innovative campaigns that resonate with young
    audiences.
    o Set measurable goals and objectives in collaboration with the Youth Services Department for
    marketing and outreach initiatives.
    o Work collaboratively with other departments including programs and youth services to ensure
    alignment and integration of outreach and marketing efforts with overall organizational goals.
  3. Outreach & Community Engagement:
    o Build and maintain relationships with youth organizations, schools, and community groups.
    o Coordinate and participate in events, workshops, and programs aimed at engaging youth.
    o Create and distribute promotional materials including flyers, brochures, and social media
    content to effectively communicate youth services and programs in our service area.
    o Develop partnerships and collaborations to enhance outreach efforts.
    o Support the Youth Services department with recruitment efforts and tabling opportunities.
    o Communicates regularly with internal teams to provide updates on community engagement
    activities, and provides month data analytical updates.
  4. Social Media Management:
    o Assist in the creation and curation of engaging content for social media platforms (e.g.,
    Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn & Facebook).
    o Assist in coordination of social media accounts, including posting, scheduling, and monitoring
    interactions.
    o Analyze social media metrics to track performance and optimize strategies.
  5. Content Creation:
    o Develop compelling multimedia content (videos, graphics, blogs) tailored to youth audiences.
    o Collaborate with Youth Services Department, to produce high-quality marketing materials.
    o Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.
  6. Campaign Execution:
    o Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns across various channels.
    o Utilize digital advertising, email marketing, and influencer partnerships to reach youth
    segments.
    o Track and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for
    improvement.
  7. Brand Advocacy:
    o Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization’s values and mission to young
    audiences.
    o Encourage and facilitate user-generated content and peer-to-peer recommendations.
    o Foster a positive online and offline community around the brand.


    Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, or 2+ years of experience in marketing,
    with a focus on youth or social media marketing.
  • Strong understanding of youth culture, trends, and digital behaviors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

    Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with influencer marketing and partnership development.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

    Working Conditions:
  • This is a full-time position with occasional flexibility in working hours.
  • May involve travel for program-related events and activities.
